Just unpacked a N95 8GB that was standing around. Before I used the "normal" N95 so there are only a few minor differences but they are pretty cool:
- Bigger Screen, but same resolution :-(
- Bigger Mem, 8GB, just like the iPhone
- Faster Cam, Probably because it can write faster to the memory, because it is built in.
- No SD card slot, how cool would it be if you could put 2 additional GB in, just like the iPhone.
- Full Spiderman 3 Movie pre installed. I somehow missed it and then was quite surprised to find it on the phone, the quality is awesome too.
Unpacking this beauty, little fat though.
mShell on N95 8GB
mShell works perfectly fine just like on the N95, but there's a bug with mVNC because of the bigger screen, the bottom part of the picture is kinda streched (see picture). I hope to get the GPS NMI working soon so that we can use this awesome built in capability. There are some cool apps out there like RotateMe or the Light Sabor that use the accelometer sensor, which detects motion of the phone. We hope to release an NMI for that soon too!
Anyhow, I'd say the N95 8GB is one of the coolest phones out there right now: Many sensors, good cam, great screen, etc.
